Tried and True ingredients for Hydration


  1. Hyaluronic Acid (HA)– Our bodies naturally produce this wonderful and incredible strong humectant. HA can hold 1,000 times its weight in water to lock in moisture for a long periods.
  2. Ceramides– These are waxy lipid molecules that can reduce TEWL (transepidermal water loss) by locking in moisture and restore barrier function. It is helpful for clients who have eczema and psoriasis.
  3. Glycerin– This humectant draws and retain moisture in to plump and smooth up the skin.
  4. Squalene-A nourishing vegetal derived oil that ensure optimal barrier function is compatible with skin’s naturally occurring lipid.
  5. Vitamin B and E- These are known to trigger the production of the skin’s hydrating factors: B3 helps prevent water loss, B5 is a tissue healing humectant and E is an easily absorbed antioxidant that prevents water loss and rebuild the skin.
  6. Collagen– can be engineered into tiny particles that will penetrate quickly to soften and smooth skin.
  7. Elastin– A coil like spring protein within the elastic fibers of connective tissues, function in conjunction with collagen to give suppleness to the skin.
